The evening began with an intimate ceremony in which guests sat in a half circle facing a lush, white floral ring and the brilliant, azure sea which perfectly framed the ceremony site. Inspiration for the reception décor was drawn from the fantastical world of Alan Faena and the original Faena Hotel in Buenos Aires. The hotel, located in the Puerto Madero neighborhood of Buenos Aires, was designed by Philippe Starck and is a striking environment that incorporates rich and romantic red tones paired with crisp whites. China from the Hermès Balcon du Guadalquivir Collection and sparkling cut crystal from Baccarat was added to the design to complete the glamorous look. Since the groom was French, the menu was created to feature the decadence of French cuisine including classics like Dover sole meuniére with black truffles shaved tableside. A carefully selected wine list perfectly accompanied each course.
